Information

I currently have openings for beginning to advanced piano lessons, and it is my pleasure to share the things I have learned.  For 26 years, I have thoroughly enjoy playing the piano and every minute of practice has paid off.  I have taught piano lessons for 5+ years and have seen many students make great progress through quality time and effort. I am also a teacher by profession, and have taught school and church classes of all aged children.  My music experience and teaching ability is a great combination for working with students of all ages.

This will be a fun experience for your child, and they will progress quickly if the effort is put in at home.  Lesson times include work and fun.  Often we will play piano duets and the student will have opportunities to choose the kind of music they want to learn (after basics are learned).  I will go at your pace, a student wanting to be challenged will be given the chance to progress more quickly.  A student wanting to learn at a moderate pace will be given lesson material to accommodate them.  Each student will have lesson material that is geared specifically toward their personality, ability, and preference.

The rate for piano lessons is $60.00/month for a weekly ½-hour lesson.  45-minute lessons are available upon request.  Payment is due the first week of each month, either by local checks or cash.  Lesson times will be opened to new students if payment is not made on time.

It is your responsibility to keep your lesson time.  If you cannot attend a regular lesson, a make up lesson will be arranged during that week by contacting me 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.  No Refunds.

Recitals are required.  They are a great way for students to learn how to perfect their pieces and perform for an audience.  It is truly a rewarding experience!

Practice is essential for any type of learning.  I require 15-20 minutes a day for beginners, and more as you progress.  Only 1 other person may sit quietly and listen during lessons.

Please complete the Student Applicaion and return it to me either by email or regular mail.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to call me.  This will be one of the greatest investments you will make.  Thank you for allowing me the privilege to teach you something I love to do!
